Dr. Jamie Hug is a board certified pediatrician, and a fellow of the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics. In addition to being an outpatient pediatrician, she also sees patients in the nursery and on the pediatric floor at Parkview Medical Center.
Dr. Hug attended the University of Michigan for her undergraduate degree, where she participated in the prestigious Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP). While at the University of Michigan, she conducted research on Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia, and worked with the founder of ECMO on a device to expand the viability of organs for donation.
Dr. Hug obtained her medical degree at Rocky Vista University in Denver, and completed her residency at Broward Health Medical Center, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In her residency program, Dr. Hug was chief resident, and was awarded resident of the year, and ER resident of the year. While in residency, Dr. Hug also published a paper on the role of therapeutic hypothermia in drowning.
Dr. Hug knew from an early age that she wanted to be a pediatrician and help people. She strives to provide outstanding, compassionate, and thorough care to her patients and their families. In her free time, Dr. Hug enjoys spending time with her husband, four children, and two dogs. She and her family enjoy obstacle races, watching football, camping, and exploring all that Colorado has to offer.
